Common questions
Where is my progress saved?
Horde Hero saves automatically. There's no account and no online save: your progress stays on your own device.
- iPhone: in the game's data on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes it. If iCloud Backup is on, it's included in your device backup.
- PC: in
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Horde Hero Studio\Horde Hero\. The demo uses its own folder,Horde Hero Demo, next to it. To keep a backup, copy that folder somewhere safe.
How do I restore my purchases on iPhone?
Open the Shop and tap Restore Purchases. Apple then delivers your one-time purchases again, such as Remove Ads. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought them with.
Payments are handled by Apple, so for refunds or billing questions, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I remove the game completely?
- iPhone: touch and hold the Horde Hero icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App. This also deletes your save.
- PC test build (zip): run
Uninstall_HordeHero.cmd, which comes in the zip. It asks before it does anything, then deletes the save folder and the display settings the game keeps in the registry. You can open it in Notepad first to see exactly what it does. Delete the game folder yourself afterwards. - PC by hand: delete the game folder, then the save folder listed above. Optionally, delete the registry key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Horde Hero Studio, which only holds display settings.
How do I get my data deleted?
There are no accounts, so we hold nothing that has your name on it. If you chose to share anonymous run statistics, email support@kindleforgegames.com with your stats ID and we'll delete every report with that ID. You'll find it in Settings → Your stats ID, under "Anonymous run stats", with a Copy button.
Switching statistics off in Settings also deletes any reports still waiting on your device. The privacy policy has the full details, including how to reach the ad partners on iPhone.
I found a bug. What should I send?
What you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps. On PC, please attach Player.log from the save folder above: it shows what the game was doing when things went wrong.
